Open Call for Performers
I’m currently at the research and development phase of my new project HIP HIP I’M GAY! a cabaret style comedy exploring the links between LGBTQ+ identity and mental health issues. I will soon be taking up residency at Metal Liverpool with a jam-packed week of events to get an insight of what its means to be Queer in 2018 and the hardships we still face today. On Friday 25th May I will be hosting a workshop/audition day to find LGBTQ+ performers to collaborate and cast in the project. The day will be from 10am-6pm at Metal Liverpool and will focus on using autobiographical material around sexuality to create performance. I’m looking for performers with strong devising skills who can move well and also sing. If you are interested in attending this audition/workshop day please send a copy of your CV with a headshot AND a short paragraph about why working on a project that explores LGBTQ+ identity and Mental Health is of interest to you to and why you think a project like this is relevant today to Ashleigh.email@example.com. DEADLINE: MONDAY 14TH MAY!
*Please note this day is only open to LGBTQ+ identifying performers
